Beyond Eyes is an indie exploration game that utilizes audio as a mechanic. Players take on the role of a 10 year-old blind girl named Rae who is looking for a lost friend, a fat cat named Nani. Blinded by fireworks as a toddler, Rae turned inward after the traumatizing incident. Preferring to stay in her own private garden, Rae only had one friend to run to, Nani. But when Nani runs away, Rae must gather up her courage and venture out into the world.
Artistically stunning, the screen remains white until players move and guide Rae using the sounds, smells, and textures. Only then will players be able to see the Rae’s interpretation of the world. Beyond Eyes will be out this summer.
